soooooo, lemme guess, you never saw GP just pluck the rock from nyggas coming up court huh?
Sooooo, you're wrong. I always liked GP andI have seen GP pilfer ball handlers faced-up, yes. I do not recall him clamping anyone with Curry's level of handling and athleticism. And the point of your thread isnt if Gary Payton can defend Curry (which I think he could do very well) so dont move the goalpost. You said GP would mentally crush Curry's ability to score and I believe that to be incorrect because he was unable to do so with less talented players than Curry and even if he did, none had Curry's unique skillset.

Curry's UNIQUE skillset is great for this era. He would be an elite shooter in any era. But a dominant PG? NO, wouldnt happen in the 90's. He wouldnt do this shyt on Dumars or Ron Harper. I can go on...

if he's shooting 28 footers and dancing before the shyt goes in.. he deserves a lil bump next time he goes to the basket :manny:

i don't even think it'd be effective.. steph doesn't strike me as a mental midget type.. he got in hibbert's face pretty good that one time even after getting tossed down like a rag doll :russ:

but it's about the principle :demonic:

Not one hard foul on him.. NOT ONE. They just let the dude do what he wants. This 2yrs in a row that dude has been able to be happy go lucky on the court. No elite players or teams in the 90's would let dude have his way like that

lol.. dude is a hellava shooter.. But, Gary Payton would mentally break that light nygga down.. Picture Gary letting dude just go out and shoot at will

I don't why nikkas think Steph is soft. I don't remember what game it was, but it was in the 2014 playoffs vs the Clippers. The Warriors had practically given up because they were down double digits but Steph was going hard by himself! He was going to the rack and getting mauled, but he kept getting up coming back. To the point where everyone was like:whoa: Steph, you gotta chill.
nikka tried to fight ROY HIBBERT! He was was getting swatted away like a little bug but still kept going at him. He's not soft. You can't intimidate dude.

gp would get 2 techs then curry drops 60 on hersey hawkins :heh:

Most likely scenario :russ:

Anyway :

First of all I'm a 90s nostalgic 35 year old :flabbynsick: Knicks fan, the league is soft and I miss that physicality. I grew up on Glove, Oak, Mase and all them.
That being said I'm pretty sure Steph is an overconfident cocky a$$hole just like the Mjs and the Kobes who just happens to have a baby face and knows to stay quiet :dead:. Pretty sure the more you would try to get into his head the more he's likely to drop 50 in 3 quarters. I know I'm not the only one that see his "you can do what you want but I'll just shoot from mid-court" smirk. :smugfavre:

Physical play won't stop him. He probably has always had a chip on his shoulder and would use physical play against him as a challenge to activate that. Hell y'all see how he's torching the league this year, thanks to all the haters :salute:
