It's getting insulting to compare Kendrick and Drake to Cole. Like Cole has become one of the greats

shyt was way better than the God Did verse. Difference is people in real life fukk wit this Cole verse heavy. Everyone I met in real life said that God Did verse wasn’t all that even the biggest Jay fans I know.

Much better verse

He doesn't just have alien voice tho, and he's hardly even used it post GKMC
I said GKMC and Section 80 were great albums in my first post and he definitely still issues weird voices. His newest album was absolutely trash but people wanted to act like it wasn’t. It was spoken poetry.

But again, that voice ruins a lot of his music. I’ve heard every track that man has ever made that has been released so not like I’m just speaking on it without listening to his music.

Song has no replay value long as shyt and gets carried by the beat. It’s decent at best and it’s over a decade old
Yikes this a terrible opinion lol. Always been one of most acclaimed songs since that album dropped

Cole has been applying pressure for a while now.
He’s been my favorite out of the 3 since FHD.

And I give him extra points for producing his records.

What an epic run he’s been on.

Cole has no classics :yeshrug:

This here.

Cole started to buzz when the mumble rap sh*t was taking over, so the standard for him has always been mad low. He's praised more for what he isn't than what he is. Which is why culturally when he drops, people stop talking about his music after like a week, until the next project drops. He's better than the mush-mouthed dudes, but his legacy is mostly people saying he's boring. I think he's above average, but still haven't heard that one classic that sets him apart from the rest of the pack.

J cole is feature king
But his albums don't stand up against kendrick
Thread is done
Saying he is a feature king actually exposes how weak his own stuff is. The nikka just needs to just show up to the studio and just rap and also stay the fukk away from any production then employ a good executive producer who will pick the beats for him.

I had high hopes for him when he started but his boring production put me off him

The way Cole has been rapping lately, I'm not sure I agree that Kendrick is just as good technically anymore.

Cole has leveled up something serious. From a pretty good rapper to a fantastic one.

Cole been shytting on those two lames since KOD. Kendrick only cool on the internet nobody irl gives a fukk what hes doing. Drake is still having an internal race crisis so bad to the point hes following beind a nikka 10 years younger than him.

Cole stands for something and thats being a MC not hiding behind ghost writiers and the whole "artist" tag like Drake. Kendrick been getting a pass because hes supposed to be militant or extra black or some shyt. nikkas be acting like Kendrick the Killmonger of rap.

He could always rap with them but not make albums to hang with them. He has been a late bloomer on that front.

Kendrick still has the best discog of the 3. But Cole and Drake have better features.

Performance wise they tied.

It's not no clear winners here

I really, really liked his verse on that new song, for real.

But J Cole is still the tuna fish sandwhich of rap, to me at least. I will never not respect him, front on his talent or shyt on his fans for liking him but he still comes off like poor mans Blu on his albums.

I'm a Drake 'hater' you could say, I def don't respect him nearly as much as Cole but I'd be a lie if I said I'm not more willing to listen to him at random than I am J Cole.
