I'm not defending black women dating racist ass white men anymore than I would defend black men dating racist ass white women. What I am saying is that "bedwench" is a term born out of the horror of the state-sanctioned rape of black women and the fact that a lot of you would rather eagerly use it to shame current day black women for their consensual dating choices then be enraged at the abuse that white men put on your ancestresses is fukked up and disturbing.

I can be just as upset at the system of white supremacy that disregards black lives as I can be at the black people who adopt the mindset of white supremacy. The disrespect and dehumanization of black women is a huge fukking problem and has been for the past 400 years and, yes, the domestic violence rates in the black community are out of fukking control and we need to be able to talk about that without being accused of "coming down on the black man." Black women are singled out for abuse by all races because of our low social value; we are completely unprotected and the open disrespect for black women by everyone only furthers our exploitation. AAVE often takes slurs given by white people and re-fashions them into terms of endearment (nikka, girl, boy, heifer) or uses them to describe blacks who willingly play along with the stereotypes given to us by whites ("c00n" for a black person who makes a show out of sucking up for whites, "Uncle Tom" for a black person who lives to be a lapdog for whites, "Mammy" for a black woman who loves to take of and cater to whites). There has been no reclaimation for "bedwench", it's adoption solely exists to attack black women who date white men. It was a slur used by white men to strip the women they raped of their humanity in order to justify their sexual assualts and it's a slur used by black men today to punish black women for dating white men. The hypocrisy of it is that there are plenty of black men in real life and on this website who have no problem dating racist white women and even love being called n*gger by them but they don't get half of the grief of a black woman who simply dates out of the race.
