It’s kinda crazy that the Angels got NOTHING out of their time with Shohei.

Couldn't even make the playoffs once.
Barry Bonds best teammate with the Giants was Jeff Kent.

Jeff Kent was pretty fukkin good. A habitual liar, but a really good player

Huh? The Angels play in Anaheim, which is basically a suburb of Los Angeles lol.
The guy I replied to thinks Shohei didn't sign on the East Coast because he's afraid of the media. I replied and Said that him signing with the Dodgers over an east coast team has more to do with LA being closer to Japan.

To funble 2 all time greats like Trout and Ohtani has got to be proof that someone didn't know what they were doing. Two players with that type of talent should have been in the playoffs every year with a better front office managing them and surrounding them with the proper piecers.

Pretty sure it had more to do with LA being closer to Japan. Does he even talk to the media ?
Only when he pitches. And he speaks English . Dont let him lie.

He can go 0-4 and not even have to talk to media. Maybe the playoffs are different and mlb make him talk

Ohtani knew what he was doing when he bounced. He also knew he didn't want the pressure of east coast media on his azz

No the Dodgers have a long history with Japan.

Back in the 90s Video Nomo came over and had a "tornado" wind up that confused the shyt out of hitters. He put out work on everyone.
13-6 record with a 2.54 ERA, 236 strikeouts, and three shutouts. Rookie of the year. It was like the first time playing Dark Souls and seeing the delayed attacks for the first time.

The league caught on but he was a star in LA and a national hero back home.

Japan had a thing for the Dodgers ever since. It was a no brainer Ohtani came over. It's like Kobe wanting to be on the Lakers.

And then the other 2 Japanese players came over. It's grown even more.

To be fair, they had no pitching and the majority of position players they signed were flops. Also did a terrible job at drafting.
