If you are single making just under 40k a year that is not poor . Saving 200 a month is decent in 3 months thats 600 dollars how is that bad ?

I don't even make 40 and I take pills to stay happy cuz what. I make can't even let me live on my own. I save 100 and it's nothing at all honestly.

Everyone thinks that they are entitled to live where ever they want(in theory its true)
but they don't want to factor LIFE in to that equation.

Realitiy is not every place is affordable, not everywhere is possible to live in for the average person.

I would love to live in the Bay area...but fukk I ain't spending those prices. I would love to live inVancouver...but fukk that I can't afford that shyt....or more accurately...I don't want to pay to live there.

PPL would rather live poor just to live in a major city then to live happy in a smaller one.

Need to take advantage of all the programs that poor people are afforded. You gotta grind and you can't spend money on any non-necessities. I think it's harder now because the gap is widening, but it's not impossible.

are you able to take any training? schooling? did you finish school(HS, College, University) ? did you loook in to any social programs that would allow you to upgrade your skills or find new ones?
Have you looked in to joining the military, coast guard or anythihng like that?
Hat other options have you explored?

I talk to ppl all day everyday about problems like this, and the majority of the time ppl just haven't tried or just as important...ppl just do not know the types of programs that are available out there to help them.

LIbraries are STILL a great asset to anyone. Reading, learning, networking, are all possible just from most libraries.

Make too much for anything free down here anything over 10 a hour Florida considers it a livable wage.

I have to pay out of pocket for anything.

Backup plan is the surgical technologist or lpn at my local vocational center.

I can't do physical work bud. No cop no trades no physical labor.

I get upset veey easily cuz most of you don't know what you speak off. You get bread outta college and speak on what poor folks should do just shut the fukk up.

When you give somebody a reason that someone is poor, or is simply having a difficult time coming out of poverty, you usually get responses talking about "Well, they shouldn't have done XYZ (got a felony, had a kid, should have/haven't went to school, etc.)".... does anybody ever have any advice for somebody who has already done XYZ and is now trying to get out of it?

bruh, I'm tellin you I know what you are talking about ...from experience
I grew up dirt poor, like food banks and slums.
I remember my mom taking and and hiding in the bathroom with the lights off cuz bill collectors were coming around.

that just made me want to work harder to get the fukk outta there.

I took on huge debt just to go back to school, while working at little caesars at night delivering pizza for a year, just to get by.
I graduated college and didn't have shyt so I joined the army.....yea most ppl do that the other way around. But at that time there weren't many great opportunities in a flooded IT market, especially with a salary that I could raise family on. so I sucked it up just to make a better life for my family
my daughter was 6 months old when I went to basic and had a 5 year old son.

the fukk was I gonna do? just sit around and complain ? naw...you either nut up or shut up.

I was able to do it, and there are ppl that had worse off situations do it too. But there are even more ppl that didn't want to make any sacrifices so they didn't change.

what side of the fence do you wanna be on?
