I get a king cake sent to the crib every year. This year I switched it up and this donut shop I would frequent as a youth down there had king cake donuts. Had a dozen made, and when it arrives, I’ll let some of my people up here have some.

We were transplants from NC back when I moved to the coast in 2006. We celebrated it heavy. Used to get out of school for 3 days every year. I haven’t been down for one in a few years, but I recommend every one to experience the festivities once in their lifetimes. My parents participate in a ball every year. They’re apart of a krewe. They ride on a float every year throwing beads. My pop uses it as an excuse to drink heavy while on that float lol. I was home a few weeks ago and had some crawfish.
