Hang in there bro.College is pissing me off, I havent been able to find a job since January despite doing well in the interviews ive had, had some pretty intense suicidal thoughts back in January, im in debt, fell off a cliff health wise a month ago and been smoking cos i feel like it. I dont have the patience or uumph in me to get a girl even though i would love one right now.
So yeah not too bad thanks.
San BernadinoWhat city?
Interviewing at other places since my boss and I aren't seeing eye to eye. I made a thread about him threatening me with a PIP just three months into the role
He hasn't done it yet and he says he sees improvement but it is really based on perception..Not necessarily my work. He's told me "you need to ask more questions" then says "don't ask the same question twice". Also told me to be more engaged in group discussion. How are you using this against me with my style and how am I supposed to operate in this role?
Of course I'm a senior Linux Engineer and the only black person on my team. Always seem that way in tech for me when chasing those high salaries.
Anyway I got interviews lined up. I got a series of final round interviews with one company. I just have to impress them with my technical knowledge.
Oh I've been dating more.
I've made a lengthy post about this very subject a while back. What he's telling you is that you need to play the game, aka "go above and beyond." Your "style" is irrelevant. You need to either get in gear and be superman, or bounce to another place that's going to ask the same of you. I got my PIP nine months in. Took me a month a turn it around and now i'm getting rave reviews all across the board. Adhering to a style will be the death of you. At work, especially in corp america, you have to be malleable. Black people don't have the luxury of saying "that's not me."
what's yo podcast called brehjust started a podcast, got my ged in January hitting the gym,and done paying for wedding and honey moon
