whats going on this year![]()
i thought it was this
Blurred Lines (Unrated Version) - YouTube
it came out in the spring but it's still being played everywhere
Blurred Lines, Aint Worried Bout Nothin, and I can see Tom Ford catching on soon
that and Power Trip are still played at least twenty times a day.
The definitive summer song is one EVERYBODY who casually and seriously listens to urban music knows. Best I ever had, I'm on one, mercy...etc, these songs y'all are naming might be hot in your region or a few hoods or among 16-23 yr olds, etc (tho most of them are weak...macarooni? Keef? Yall nikkas still really think hes gonna be a star) but there isn't one ubiquitous summer smash right now...no song the hood and bourgie black folks are rockin, no song the 15, 25, 33, and 42 year olds know, no track that men and women alike get hype to
So that French doesn't fit the definition that you made pulled out of thin air![]()
Definition may be made up, but the songs gator and I listed as the past songs of the summer fit my "made up" definition. My girls (26-32) don't know that French song, that song didn't make any of their playlists, Im pretty sure my brother (40) isn't moved to get on the floor to that one nor spin it at a party...but BMf, best I ever had, I'm on one, mercy, etc all hit for those demographics.

This is true. Im 24 and the first time I heard that french song was in this thread and I be out there. "Pop That" was waving wayyy harder when it dropped.
