Yes I think groups should be put into sub-categories. Why not? Do we not have rednecks, hipsters, yuppies? It's how you inform others that your group is diverse. nikka I am not in the same group as ratchet people, my wife will not be twerking in front of my daughter I don't care how nice sharkeisha is, if YOU want to be labeled in the same category as ignorant people so be it, but I don't want too. If you have a tough time swallowing folks have different mentalities and you want to crab me back into the barrel, I'm cool off that. I been out the bucket a long time ago, I can see past my 'hood', in fact I left that place before my teen years, and I don't 'rep' it.
To me that IS improving it. We're alienating certain people, the same way we alienate c00ns and uncle toms. I find it funny people all of a sudden have an issues with the word ratchet because it divides the group, but yall are super quick to call other black people c00ns and uncle toms, differentiating yourself from those blacks.And it's white people doing it as well
They all treat us the same, because all black people talk collectively instead of individually, perhaps if we start showing others that we are a complex group and that we have differences perhaps they themselves can learn to separate us, for example at the job place. Just cause Raeykwon was late when you hired him, doesn't mean I will be late. We are a different breed, with a different background and discipline.ughhh....its true!
Just how white folks distance themselves from "rednecks" etc... Black folks can distance themselves from nikkas.
and I wish yall would stop w/ the "they all treat us the same" bit...anyone who actually believes that hasnt been around many different types of people. Nobody wants to deal w/ a Chief Keef type...but the black people that I know that got into Ivy League schools had an easy time in life...I wonder why
