:ehh: I'm not pretending I have the 100% gospel truth answers, just my take on it of course. I didn't get the vibe that Ishmael might not be big boss. In the chapter "truth" where you Replay the first chapter you see Ishmael bandaged from the burns he sustained during the ground zeroes mission. He has a dialogue with Ahab and tells him you are me and I am you now. They get out of the hospital and get in the accident. Ishmael gets free, changes into the clothes Ocelot brought him and takes off to start outer heaven. As to why he was in the hospital when he could have gotten away alone. Big Boss does not have it in his character to leave a man behind. Especially one that was with him enough to play the part of Big Boss in his absence.
From what I read, it was big boss in a coma all that time and so they put Ishmael in a medically induced coma to wait for him, and to hypnotize him.

Yet he left Kaz behind and let a whole nother man take over his legacy just to run and hide.

And again, you say Ishmael has his face covered from burns he sustained but BB has no visible scars when we see him leave. And we get a close up his face as well (when he gets on the bike).

Speaking of dialogue, he (Ishmael)also says he's been watching over you for 9 years, but again, in the truth tapes, doesn't big Boss allude to having been in a coma for the majority of the time, when he goes to take a smoke?

Zero even comes to visit him and big Boss is presumably in a coma.

You also see Ishmael stabbed and not bleed once. he gets shot in the ambulance and gets able away unscathed.

And speaking of quiet, what's her beef with Venom anyway? She claims to want revenge on Venom but it was Ishmael who set her on fire, right?

All inconsistencies Breh. All I'm saying.

My brain just broke trying to make sense of this:mindblown:

I might just be trying to over simplify it. Im just gonna take it at face value for now to be honest. I think the purpose of the "truth" chapter was to show us as the player that ishmael was the true big boss and he was working with Ahab. He needed Ahab to pretend he was the real big boss so that they didn't end up with another fiasco on their hands like the one Huey caused when he agreed to the inspections. Big boss needed to be out of sight for a while to put outer heaven together. I honestly don't think we will ever get black and white answers to a lot of our questions and I think that's what Kojima wants. He wants us to be so involved in the game that we draw our own conclusions. The important part of TPP is that the events in the game were not big boss himself. While all the events of TPP were going on, the real big boss was creating outer heaven. I think that's the most important thing to take away from the game story wise.

Now... this outer heaven Big Boss is creating... I take it to be something that's just like what Venom is doing except it's done somewhere else in the world??
I wonder would they be able to make a MGS6 using the real Big Boss and having you see what's going on.

I also wouldn't mind if they made one from the point of view of The Boss.

:what: So the real Big Boss is in South Africa?? That's not very far from everything else. I just found it odd how he left unscathed with his face all out while the man on fire is chasing a decoy Snake. It makes no sense like where he go?? To an airport?? How he just... leaves willy nilly like that?? Plus I don't get how his passport shows the player face... I mean why?? He still has his regular face.

Outer heaven was in Zanzibar.
They could make a game from the pov of the real big boss. To me though. I don't think we need any more MGS games after this one. As a life time fan of the series and follower of the story, I think I know just enough now to feel comfortable with the story. Seeing liquid as a boy was incredible. Sure there are a ton of other things I would have liked to see but I'm content not having seen them. I like some aspects being left to the imagination.

Thats what im saying breh. There are enough inconsistencies to warrant legit questioning of "The truth".

The real big boss makes outer heaven in south africa, dunno if he goes there immediatley tho

In the 1980s, Big Boss established a fully independent nation, "Outer Heaven", 200 kilometers north of Galzburg, South Africa, while Venom Snake established Diamond Dogs. Outer Heaven became a sanctuary for disillusioned soldiers, where they would not be used as pawns of their government, and where they would always have a place, be it on the battlefield or in society in general. For insurance, Big Boss reinforced the fledgling nation's military force with the bipedal tank TX-55 Metal Gear capable of launching a nuclear strike from anywhere on the planet.

it is venom. Big boss builds it and venom leads it. (what happens to DD is unknown at this point)

Big Boss returns to Foxhound and trains SS, personally. Venom runs Outer Heaven.
