This privacy update has been happening for most other websites. Just go check your email and you will see that for the past week there is alot of junk mail that was sent out from other websites/online services you've signed up with that are informing you of an updated privacy policy. The common excuse they all have for this is some new EU regulation that's taken place and it looks like they are being forced to tweak their privacy agreement to be up to standards with this EU regulation

It’s a new European Union law requiring every website to do this

Basically

All companies that operate in the EU have to comply. Otherwise they cannot do business in EU countries.

The coli been collecting y'all data since day one.

The only difference is that now the owners of the site are legally obligated to tell us what type of information that they are collecting.

It's meant to make it more transparent for the users.

I welcome this change.

Under this new law, you can also request to have all of your data deleted.
