As seen at WWE Money In The Bank last night, Dean Ambrose won the WWE Money In The Bank ladder match and cashed in later that night, pinning newly crowned WWE Champion Seth Rollins to win the belt.

The most recent issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE live event attendance in May had dropped from 5,600 last year to 3,900 this year, a 30% decline. Obviously John Cena being out of action this year has hurt attendance. However, it was noted that the "A" and "B" show numbers were roughly identical, even though the "A" shows were headlined by Reigns. The "B" shows were headlined by Ambrose, usually in smaller markets.

"Last month the 'B' shows with Dean Ambrose, that were often in smaller markets, were drawing just as well as the 'A' shows with Roman Reigns," Meltzer noted on last night's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. "Roman Reigns is drawing really bad. Before he wasn't, but now he is, so now it's an issue. Does that mean that it led to this [title change], or is this just another way to get Roman Reigns more over, because that's been the goal for the last however long? Time will tell."

How is it funny? Ambrose doesn't excel at anything except being the guy who's supposed to be a lunatic. His matches suck, his moveset is trash, he's not up to par on the mic with anybody right now. I mean look at the mic work WWE has right now...Owens, New Day, Enzo, Jericho, Miz, Cena even Sami Zayn does a decent enough job being a generic babyface on the mic...Don't nobody be checking for what Dean gotta say.

Ambrose was drawing better than Reigns on the house show tours so they probably gave him run to see if he could do better with the actual title.

I'm an Ambrose fan so this is a good move to me. Vince may not be so stubborn after all.

I just want them to use reigns correctly more than anything else to be honest whether he champ or not make him heel for god sakes if u pulled the trigger on dean they can at least do that and that's what I'm hoping they do and is also the other reason why he lost besides the house show attendance reasons

People around here claim Reigns is better in the ring but the fans still respect Ambrose a helluva lot more..by miles it seems.

Dean gets the reactions they want Roman to get. That's really all that matters. If things such as great in-ring work and so on and so forth meant more than the look/reaction, Cena would have half the reigns he does now, if that, and Cesaro would have been got the rocket strapped to his back.

When they teased this at Elimination Chamber last year, the crowd (which was largely crap to that point) lost its shyt. I knew then that one day, he'd get a go at it.
