The thunder would not have let Klay Thompson walk

He would have been a much better fit than harden for them

@Gil Scott-Heroin @Loose am I tripping?
A better fit? I don't know. Simply because Brooks wouldn't know what to do with him. His numbers wouldn't be nearly as good as they are right now (+ taking into account all the touches Durant/Westbrook take up). He would be reliant on creating his own offense off the dribble for the most part (like Harden did) and as we all know that's not one of his strongest suits.

They wouldn't let him walk though because he still on that rookie deal.

Jackson is a genius. We probably wouldn't even be talking about Klay if it wasn't for him (certainly not to this degree). :wow:

Dude is looking like the best coach in the league at the moment.

I gotta disagree man. Kevin Martin was a jump shooter and he didn't have success in OKC cuz Durant and Sabo were always putting up shots and now he's in Minny average 24.6 ppg from a pass first point guard (Rubio). Klay Thompson plays similar to Kmart and likes to get his shots off of screens and set plays and even though Curry gets his he still runs the offense and allows guys like Klay to get there's. I just don't see Klay having much success playing with ball dominant guys like Sabo and Durant.

Kevin Martin was having success when he was out there with Westbrook and Durant though

14 ppg ain't success for a guy like Martin who routinely averaged over 20 ppg in his Sacramento/Houston days. The fact that his numbers rebounded so quickly after leaving OKC tells me that OKC's system was the reason he looked so mediocre and that he still has the talent to be a top 5 SG in the league. He's putting up 24.6 ppg on a team that's 6-3 and playing along side the second leading score in the NBA so clearly it's not the same as putting up numbers on a bad team on the theory that someone's gotta get the numbers.

harden has looked terrible so far this year. he's too inconsistent and has been off more than on so far. plus he's lazy as shyt on defense.
26, 5 and 5 on 45% shooting is bad?

Harden>>>Klay. Replace harden with klay last year and Houston doesn't make the playoffs.

Lin and harden backcourt is averaging more pts, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. All the GS backcourt got is 3pt shooting

He has his most efficient season in 5 years with them though

I agree he didn't get enough shot attempts

He's also healthier now too

Man U can't compare the efficiency when his role was diminished in OKC. I hate when ppl bring up efficiency in that context. Whenever your role and responsibility increases, of course ur game will become less efficient. Monte Ellis most efficient year was prolly the year he came off the bench early in his career.

Harden is better now but Klay got the higher ceiling. Harden relies on flopping his way to the free throw line and the NBA is cracking down on it. Dude already has two flopping violations this early in the season. Klay's pure stroke (pause) and his improvement as a ball handler is much more valuable than a guy who's a one trick pony. Either way Harden's gonna have to change his game up and cut down on the flopping.

You know all this is minute until klay does what harden did or Kmart and become the main option of his team. I like to see klay leave the shadow of steph and see what his numbers look like as the man.
