Drones get shot, ammunitions aren't infinite and in deep trenches you can't bomb out everyone - you still need to put bodies out there to clear trenches.

Yeah drones can fly well out of range of AKs or anything else they can throw at them. It’s pretty simple, use drones, mark the enemy positions and hit them with mortar fire. Hell I’d then send in flamethrower teams to mop up whoever is left
