It’s really hilarious how Hispanics are so jealous of black culture.

I fukk with Mexicans more than the others because you know exactly where you stand with them.

My kind of people.
Not all though.

Them MFs hate yo Black ass too.

Their culture is dope because it's family/loyalty focused.

So, yeah if you in good with a Migo, you can operate with them.

You already know this I can see.

Ite breh I feel what you are saying to a degree but for me most of the Reggaeton I grew up was either party music about going out con su "Corillo" to the Discoteca or music about relationships or Reggaeton Romantico. Of course you occasionally have artists who have beef, you can look up "Tiraeras del reggaeton" on youtube and find a bunch of diss songs. You also got cats like TEMPO or Baby Rasta y Gringo, Lito y Polaco etc that have plenty of street type tracks under their belt. Plus you have a bunch of young folk that listen to Trap Latino even though that is different from Reggaeton I'll bring it up for sake of this discussion.

But my main point is Reggaeton in general is a fun genre based on partying, clubbing, and having a good time con tus amigos. Bachata is romantic music. While there are similarities with Rap ultimately Rap/Hip-Hop is just a much grittier genre of music. It's not comparable when it comes to that aspect imo. The older I get the less I want to listen to music about harming the next man or bragging about getting locked up or selling drugs.

Once again I'm not saying beef and crazy ass things don't happen with Reggaeton/Bachata artists because they def do but rap is on another level. Rap cats casually make destructive songs over nice beats. Dudes normalize shyt that shouldn't be normal. The final nail in the coffin is Cacs sit there and profit of the crazy shyt these artists are saying.

PS - I feel what you saying about Reggaeton artists turning to religion. A bunch of artists I used to listen to back in the day are super religious now (Hector El Father, Glory, Kartier etc). My fault for the long post though fam.
Nah breh all good you def understood what I said. There is a reason a lot of top artist from 10-15 yrs ago that exploded the "genre" turned to religion cause they refused to be a part of the mainstream system. You could go even further "el general" spanish reggae first mainstream act turned to religion. But even newer artist too are turning away from the system like larry over and even Farruko whom you could say had the most successful song last year with Pepas that went even crossed over into the EDM crowd and thats big big money.

And you are def right about the cacs part in it. In fact you could take it a step further and find a common denominator type of Cac that likes to cause controversy and profit of death of others and then play victim when they get called out on their moral/religious hypocrisy:yeshrug:but you can't cause its apparently a sin and a war crime to talk bad about them.

let me inject some logic in here. most hispanics are bilingual, especially the younger generation. some in fact are what they call "no sabo kids" meaning they don't speak spanish at all. but most of the ones who migrated here the past century or are first or second generation speak english and spanish. hip hop is very popular with the younger generations, those who grew up around it since it hasn't been around for too long in the grand scheme of things. maybe like what less than 50 years. If going by the data I have found of the breakdown being 59% white, 19% hispanic and 13% black, how many of those white and black people could possibly speak spanish? I'm willing to bet it's not more than 25%. now I don't really listen to spanish music cuz i got into hip hop first, and I actually speak spanish. imagine all the millions of people who don't speak spanish. they obviously not gonna learn towards spanish music and are gonna listen to music they understand. I'm not over here bumping arabic or asian music cuz I don't understand the damn words. According to research, 17% of the population speaks spanish, 78.5% speaks english, a 60% difference. so the fact that an english language music genre is more popular isn't surprising. its just the logical explanation.

They do make good beverages though. Mojitos, margaritas, piña coladas, daiquiris, matadors, palomas, tequila sunrises. Central and South Americans know how to mix a mean drink :ohlawd:

They can have that Bad Bunny shyt.

Most of that shyt is ass cheeks...they got some decent drums sometimes tho.

Don't think they even care about Black people or Black music really.

They are too proud and up their own asses to try to understand/respect anything not hispanic.

look up 70's or 80 oldies music by black artists on youtube, tons of comments in spanish.

As a breh with an Afro-Latina mom and ADOS pops I would rather listen to Reggaeton/Bachata over Rap :manny:

Rap is full of dudes calling each other the N-Word and talking about how they are going to hurt each other, maybe it's because I'm getting older but that shyt ain't for me :camby:

sounds like some shyt you'd say around white and brown latinos to be accepted

stop acting like all rap is like that
