How about directing some constructive criticsm towards the Democrats who are the ones who want your vote. How is it wrong to tell Dems "This is what your doing wrong,and this is what you need to do to regain my vote". Theres nothing republicans can do to gain my vote that i could imagine. No one expects a political party to "save" them. That's a strawman. The basic expectation of governance is to regulate and restrain the "bad," to make the road less bumpy. We expect politicians to enforce laws, pass policies that materially benefit our lives or, at minimum, don't actively make things worse. Do they fall short of that? Absolutely.

But pretending that expectation is naive or submissive is just a way to dodge the reality that outcomes differ depending on who holds power. You can acknowledge that Democrats are corporatist, complicit in imperial violence, and weak on real redistribution efforts without pretending that their governance produces the same risks and harms as a party openly committed to racial backlash, repression, and authoritarianism.

Collapsing those distinctions is analytically lazy. You're erasing asymmetric threats and treating people making constrained choices inside a hostile system as if they're operating on belief or loyalty alone.

What exactly do you think people should be doing anyway? Because by treating political outcomes as irrelevant and participation as delusion, all you're doing is saying nothing matters.
