Maybe but on the other hand...Karl Malone averaged more points per game (18) than Shaq in the first round of the playoffs against Yao and the team made it to the Finals

In addition, Malone averaged 11.5 in the playoffs while Bosh averaged 14 when Miami won their first ring and for their second ring Bosh averaged 12.1 and Wade only 15.9 in the playoffs.

Malone was no scrub at 40 'cause he was a physical freak of nature.

Yeah I think it would have. Kobe proved Boston was beatable without squading up. Plus the Magic got to the finals during Boston’s dominance. Lebron didn’t need a super team to surpass Boston.
