MJ shot 11.9 FTA per game that season.

Shai shoots 8.9 per game and people hate him more than Hitler. :francis:

Give Lebron that whistle and he’d average 60 in that era.

:ohhh: THE MOST ATHLETIC PLAYER
IN THE LEAGUE, RELENTLESSLY
ATTACKING THE RIM SHOT
THE MOST FREE THROWS?

SHAI AVERAGED 11 FTS IN 2023
AND WE KNOW HE WASNT
RELENTLESSLY ATTACKING THE RIM

MJ's legacy in the NBA is simply far too cemented to ever change or be replaced.

And it's driven both by his actual accomplishments as a strong offensive player with a top tier Finals record as well as the supreme marketing of "Air Jordan" to the masses across the world. No NBA player before or after Jordan will rival his legacy no matter how much the sports media or contrarians online try.

That said, it's true that MJ wasn't without some flaws and there's some statistical feats that have surpassed MJ such as Russell and Sam Jones having more rings, Kareem/Lebron having more points, Steph/Ray/Kerr having a higher 3 point shooting %, etc. but MJ is always going to be seen as THE Goat or most well rounded player by the average Joe even though Zoomers are more of a mixed bag and stan Bron/Curry/KD/Wemby/SAG/Joker more since that's who they grew up on.

Overall, Jordan's GOAT legacy is cultural to the NBA at this point.
