When Miles got caught smoking weed :lolbron:

When the gang plus 112 tried to get into that concert on 5 tickets
That Thursday night line up was piff tho :noah:Four great black shows, all in one night and Living Single wasn't too girly because of Kyle Barrrker and Obee...Moesha did sort of jump the shark when they brought in Dorian, but I still liked that storyline..of course he was trying to be a rapper, with his group "WHAT!?":mjpls:

yea. living single had 2 males characters and the star of the show was a rapper.

girlfriends had that one male character that was one of those weird cases where hes str8 but only has female friends. that show wasnt geared towards males at all. some dudes watched it sparingly and on the low just cuz its black tv. i can say that much. lol. the only bone they threw at male viewers was having maino half the episodes.

yea, but the 10 years in-between now and when she slimmed up and lost her ass, those were some dark days.

basically the whole '00s decade was a wash for her. not just in looks, but it was a wash for her altogether.

That just makes a nikka heart warm. That show brings back memories mane. I know I ain't the only 1 that get that feeling.

crazy thing is, i liked the show back then, but im more of a fan of it now.

maybe its because there was so much more going on back then, so maybe i just didnt get the chance to fully appreciate the show.

either way, this show ages like fine wine. brandy is aging well also. looking better now than she did back then. shes possibly the next patti labelle.

edit: i said some of this already. LOL.

South Cental was grossly slept on.

thats cuz they rushed that chit off the air. FOX got shook when they saw nicca pullin guns, getting puss and jumping out of windows.

it was poppin that summer tho.

it couldve been the goat. if only HBO or somebody picked it up.

the show is actually an even better watch now than it was back then. plus mr mitch's haircut is back in style.

now that i know what i know, in the back of my head, im thinking about how much doper "south central" wouldve been if it stayed on the air. props to the producers for bouncing back with another classic tho.

South Central was one of my favorites...I woulda been real watchin Andre transform from a wild 16 to a grown man.. his lil sister the same growin into a young lady in the middle of a warzone...wanted to see what would happen with his adopted brother..Damn I hate that they cancelled that piece so early lol

Watching this now...it's way better than I remember. I forgot about Niecy too :ohlawd:

It's bringing me back to some good days brehs. Why don't we have shows like this anymore? :mjcry:
Too much innocence on that show. Society has gotten used to the ratchet and the violent, hence Empire, Power and Love and Hip Hop.

The Parkers was legit hilarious. I don't know why people are calling it a "c00n fest" Nikki had a job, and Kim was in school, also Kim's father was rich (I guess Tommy really did have a job, lol). Kim used to be kind of cute before she got big.

You can still find episodes of The Parkers on YT. They're in HD too!

Not if u look right behind it..Moesha was really the reverse of a sitcom called "South Central"..Youtube it and you'll see a harder version "Hakeem" and "Niecey" if they lived on the other side of Leimert Park, then take out Brandy and add Larenz as O Dogg had Menace gone the other way...Same time the story behind how Ray J got the gig goes that he was gettin out there in Carson, CA so his moms Sonya got him the show to keep him outta trouble
