6yrs is not that long ago, he’s still in his 20s but he doesn’t even look close to the same player. Obviously it’s the injuries but let’s not act like 29 is not still smack dab in the middle of an athlete’s athletic prime.

When you see guys like Bron and Iggy who are 34yrs old and still can bang and then look at Blake who looks like he can barely get off the ground nowadays and u can see how striking it looks in Blake’s case
6 years is over half a decade, people's bodies change quite a bit in 6 years. And 29 is not "athletic prime", a 29/30 year old player is probably 90% of the athlete he was at 25 but his skills have been sharpened to cover the missing 10%, at best they swap out quickness and leaping for size and strength. LeBron and Iggy while still above most of the league athletically are not running and jumping the way they were 6-7 years ago.

If there's 2 different plays where the same player is denying Blake at the rim I'd say it's that player being a good shot blocker not Blake being stuck to the ground.

Blake’s still a really good athlete. Jarrett Allen is just a great shot blocker...
