It’s that time of the year again: Netflix price increases hit

I'll never understand how a generation of pirates just threw it all in the bushes out of no where. These Corps really pulled the rug from up under our feet.

Everyone I knew (black, white, man, woman, young and old) all used sites like livewire, frostwire, piratebay etc in the 00s/10s. Now people will look at you if you tell them you still download music or pirate movies/TV. At my office the people that genuinely still do are the white men in their 50s, it's so weird


I'll ask my coworker—28, if he watched ______ and he'll look at me in the eye and say "no, because it's not on _____ steaming service"

Like what does that have to do with anything.

Nah just had to use a vpn to set it up and then I buy Turkish Netflix gift codes and load.

Only time you need the Vpn on is when reloading gift card and I usually do that once enough for a few years

What they are doing now is a "cinema" model. Only hardcore people pay regular for Netflix, most people nowadays will buy a month subscription to see all the new comedy specials that out or a full season of a new show that finally finished. At the end of the month they unsubscribe. So they are essentially hiking the price to make that crowd pay a premium.

we just killed our YTTV subscription. I will be pirating all my NBA watching this season. the fact that the bulls aren't carried on YTTV anymore and the owners think we're gonna pay for a separate streaming service to watch a teams (blackhawks/sox/bulls), they crazy.

I wanna drop it so bad, but I use YTTV to provide my family with cable since you can add multiple households and I know they too old to learn a new way at this point but all these other apps are outta here

mind you I was splitting YTTV with 3 people. but I have no reason to use it. can't watch local sports be it NBA, NHL and MLB, and NFL games are mostly on Fox/NBC/CBS/Amazon/ESPN. I have access to all these services, so there's basically nothing to watch on YTTV for me. and the pirate stream for the new regional sports network I need to watch local sports is actually better picture quality than YTTV anyways.
