It's that time...What are your New Year’s Resolutions?

To launch a business and have it replace my corporate gig by the end of the year.

Tired of this 9to5 rat race where you make slow gains.

But Im getting close
So... Same goal of hitting 2000 posts for me in 2017

I will be challenging myself to swim 100x100 on 1:30 here soon..
I didn't make it last year.. we'll see
Travel planned for early next year
Finances okay.. we are co-mingled and organized
Things aren't perfect but life is moving in a good direction

This year was actually very good for me.

I hit my mark financially.

Didn't hit my running goals (suprise, surprise). I improved but am not where I want to be. I think age is catching up with me. I am officially not in my 20s.

Things aren't perfect here but I am definitely liking the direction. 2017 may see an addition or additions. Time will tell though.

2017 was

Expanded my family (and my waistline )

Didn't hit my running goal but fit for 18 it is.

I have had a ton of blessings this year so I am not sure how 18 can top it.

My goal for 18 is to keep my loved ones happy, healthy, and well traveled.

I don't expect to post much in 18 but probably will read and dap as a getaway from the work life hustle.

2019 looks even better
.. so I feel blessed
I am in love with my wife, I am fairly healthy, and I am energized by the opportunities awaiting me

Tonight (at dusk ) i am starting a new tradition . I will run a 5k for time

I have spent much of the last week planning my future
Too many details for here . But again, I am excited

Posting wise.. im running on lazy legs

Last six months, I've managed 62 posts (this is 63rd) on the coli for a paltry 4.9 dap ratio
(Correcting for dap inflation that is like 1.7 or 1.8 daps/post )
I'll reach 2000 posts soon,,
But it will be like a rapidly aging Rod Carew,
Limping through that disastrous '85 season
to finally get his 3000th base hit

Anyway, be safe tonight.. and hope all is well

Travel the world a bit more. Visit the more popular us cities, see more of canada as well. I work at the airport now so its hella cheap for me.


And also, save up money for a car I've already started this but it will be more focused upon though.

Congrats!!! My stats are getting better but not in prime form.

The baby is getting big. Now that he’s older, I plan to resume traveling. So my 2019 resolution is to experience much more of the world with the little one... Enjoy more qt with the hubby.... and get back to prime form...

I do more reading than posting nowadays and I intend to keep it that way.

And 2020 looks even more promising (though busy)

Coli-wise, I finally reached the 2000 post milestone
2019 -I made 109 posts (110 including this one),, for a paltry 4.1 dap ratio (which is only like 1.4 or 1.5 adjusting for inflation)

I know a lot of spammers can knock out 100+ posts in a mere 8-10 hour shift
...I just can't compete

2020 is shaping up to be a very big year
I will have the most responsibilities in my career since before I got sick (ca 2013)
Plus i am volunteering and involved with other pursuits
Then my marriage and our social commitments
But it is very satisfying,. and feels great

Let me share two of my resolutions...
1. Spend the right amount of time on each issue.. give it the attention it merits, but don't overdo it
2. focus on finding common ground and reserving judgment.. the world is already divisive enough

Anyway hope you are doing well..

So here we are again...
My 2020 coli stats... 0.3 post/day, 3.0 daps/post, 0.7 rep/post.. Pretty abysmal

Covid tipped the world upside down..
But reviewing my 2020 resolutions..

I was seriously tested on both those goals..
But i think i did pretty well considering the circumatances
From many metrics it was productive / successful.. But it was also an unwelcome detour from my regularly scheduled life

My focus for 2021 is to work on getting back to normal.. My marriage, this huge project at work, my other friendships, my fitness goals,.
.. Im surw a lot of people feel this way..
But it's time to get my life back
