I watched this live on PPV with my brother. WM13 will always have a soft spot in my heart because this was my first ever Wrestlemania I watched.

And the Submission Match between Bret and Austin was special because there was a double turn and this is really where the Stone Cold Steve Austin era began and the Bret Hart era was slowly ending even though Bret had a awesome run as the heel foreigner in '97.

Might watch this on the Network later on.

2. New Gen: WM 13?
3. Attitude Era: WM17
4. Ruthless Aggression: WM 19/20/21?
5. PG Era: WM 26?
6. Reality Era: 30/31?

OT: This is the best WM match of all time imo. The drama, the work, the turn.

I was there to witness the moment Stone Cold became a mega star I still think their Survivor Series match was better.

This is still my GOAT WrestleMania match. The double turn and Bret in this feud as a whole putting over Austin.. even Stone Cold himself credits :hitgoat: with making the Stone Cold character work. Austin/McMahon took it to the next level but without Bret's involvement and the Hart Foundation and the whole Canada vs. USA feud, WWF probably would have died out before we even got to Austin/McMahon.
