Good thread idea but is Shell black owned or are you listing businesses even if all they are is branch of a larger white owned company? Not saying they SHOULDNT be supported, just that it might be better if the focus was on businesses that are truly black owned. :yeshrug:

When it comes to franchises, they are still a business and it contributes to black wealth and the community. This also opens the door for the next black franchisee to step in a little easier and it builds a community around that. Look how well Indians are eating off of 7/11s and Dunkin Doughnuts' for example.

This is definitely true. Just saying there should be emphasis on the ones that are truly black owned.

That sucks to hear and its good to see we can hold are own accountable for poor products. I personally never had a problem with them before

Maybe I`m just spoiled by "higher end" mainstream product lines. At the end of the day their problem could be solved by finding better suppliers.
