I like both, but neither are GOAT status. But I believe both are/were elite coaches. I don't think you need multiple titles to be an "elite" college coach. But i think multiple titles puts you for sure in that category. I can't really think of any coach that has 2 titles that wouldn't be considered an elite college coach. In my opinion, there are a good 10-15 elite college coaches. They are all on the second tier currently though, because K is the standard at the moment, and everybody else is competing for second.

I really believe Donovan woulda made it to goat tier along with K and them... the speed at which his accomplishments came were astonishing.

Yeah, I liked Donovan. He and Stevens before they left for the league I thought would have been great replacements for K. Donovan's success slowed with the arrival of Cal to UK though. Cal isn't a great X's and O's coach, but he is one hell of a salesman. But yeah, Donovan was on his way to GOAT status. He essentially created a winner at a football school.

Izzo is a goat tier coach because he made msu a powerhouse bball program.

People confusing msu is gonna msu for izzo.
Izzo just got caught up in the natural stigma of the school before he changed that dynamic from being prevalent.
Since it is msu that dynamic will always he there.
Proven by this tourney result,...yet, izzo changed the dynamic in general so it is never typically present like it used to always be in basketball.

I respect your opinion......but i'll respectfully disagree. Donovan made Florida a basketball power house as well.......He's not GOAT Tier!! My opinion of Izzo isn't because of this tourney game though. I never thought they would have a deep run in the tournament because of how much they relied on Valentine. I think Izzo is a great coach, elite even, but he's not in that GOAT tier conversation, but that's no disrespect to Izzo, it's just evidence of just how good K is.
