I don't understand how "quality" went down.

All of my favorites are from the internet era have been killing shyt.

They all have huge bodies of work that is high quality.

The best part is 2 these guys just pump out music they wanna make and the fans like.

Not like back in the day where "we need a song for X or Y demographic"

These are the "producers" you can chose. By the way here is a batch of beats they made and shopped around.

They weren't even crafted for the artist :dahell:

A lot of those old heads live off one or maybe two REALLY good albums; and are larger then life from it.

its really some bullshyt.

The newer guys(and by now I'm talking about anyone basically like 07 and after) who are great consistently put out SO much more product.

I don't get why that doesn't seem to hold water.

The reason the south took over and has dominated for so long is because we don’t have an ego we want everyone to eat.

NY’s arrogance & cockiness is what done them in. Their inability to support other regions and tearing one another down is what killed them. nikkas be from the same borough dissing each other over dumb shyt.

If they had same mentality as other regions they would still be on top.

Honestly man people just need to stay in their lane.

Future's career should be the blueprint for someone trying to be a professional rapper.

He almost fell for the trap of industry bullshyt but when back to the essence and it paid off major.

This is cap. Do u know how much beef the south has had over the years? U wanna get me started? The problem is u nikkas keep comparing a whole fukkin region to ONE city. What happened is we were basically locked out of our own radio stations and been paying for it ever since.

The South had the best era :umad:
Rap is better when the west is hot.

NYC had political rap on MTV during the day ( Public Enemy) and created a Stop The Violence movement (KRS) that influenced the West Coast to do something similar with All In The Same Gang. Plus we brought consciousness to the forefront with the Zulu Nation( before the Bambatta madness). And our 5% influence that had Ice Cube saying "I met Farrakhan and had dinner now you ask if I'm 5 percenter." NYC also had the better lyricists.

The West Coast unshered in the gang culture

The South ushered in the stripper and dumbed down rap culture.

In conclusion....OP is 100% correct.

I’m from Atlanta and I agree. Atlanta standards for hip hop are extremely low because we let women in strip clubs decide what’s hot.

Half retards like Gucci, Lil Baby and 21 wouldn’t have made it out of an open mic in NYC.

That goof @Nuuko u quoted don't care about the west coast. He's a Kendrick bot who only cares about Kendrick. I can't believe yall nikkas let these nikkas run rampant the way they have since this battle cause they used to get shut down immediately. The last few months is the most that nikka has ever posted on this site.
