It's to a point where Alvarez and them go out their way to hate on WWE

I don't get the hate for the event. I enjoyed it for the most part.
I noticed the trend after rumble. Meltzer was like "i thought it was great, one of their best ppvs in a years" and the law guys like "well we didnt get kenny omega or samoa joe or any surprises, the rumble match was bad" and i could hear dave like "why would you expect that and be mad you didnt get it...."

"My guy didnt win, it sucked" and "this was too soon/too late" are the dumbest reasons to not like something.

If you go to a burger restaraunt, and you say "i would like your best item" and they present you a burger, and the burger was outstanding, you cant say "the burger wasnt bad but i wanted pizza, i dont like my meal"

I don't care to listen to any of these shows (even ones involving real sports outside of Dan LeBatard's show & Highly questionable cuz they don't take themselves seriously)

but I would say that this has to do with people's selfishness and feeling like their money is keeping the WWE alive, so they get to be critical of every single aspect of it and feel like everything should be to their liking.

It was a good show, the only great match was the Chamber (even if I think the wrong guy won). For a PPV that had such a short period of time to build feuds it went about as well as it possibly could. Only thing I think was just outright stupid was the stuff with Ziggler being put in a handicap match as a heel.

I get what Ed is talking about though, some of these wrestling insiders push and stick to a narrative that sucks the enjoyment out of the shows sometimes. Sometimes it seems like these dudes have a personal beef with guys like Roman Reigns and The Miz. Meanwhile they'll hype up guys like Cesaro and Ziggler but ignore all the flaws those guys have and their inability to maintain a strong connection with fans.

I stopped listening to/watching really any wrestling podcast/commentary/whatever last year. Most of these guys end up having the same booking ideas, complaints, issues, etc. It all becomes homogenous and boring after a while, and I find myself not really agreeing with much any of them have to say anymore.

How do they not acknowlege the GLARING flaws wit dolph ziggler?? Cesaro is a good worker but he has never committed to a character the way that bray wyatt has...They hate on nikki bella, who did actually pretty damn good last night, but say nothing about alexa bliss' errors and how naomi carried her last night. I love bliss but keep it consistent....

Meltzer is not really in this group, but I mean alverez and Semperveve, the LAW guys, any of the whatculture dorks, it's like they hate everything and if a match isn't absolutely flawless it sucks ass. If the winner THEY WANT to win doesn't win clean it sucks ass. If they don't get a payoff when they want (if it's too early or too late) it's -***** .

How could you watch the show last night and A. Not understand the logic behind every result and direction they're going, B. Complain about simple errors that don't take away from enjoyment, C. Overcomplain about the crowd and you deserve chants to Naomi (suddenly you don't like those huh) and D. Just say the show sucked. They literally used everyone on the entire roster in a way that didn't seem forced and went to the next PPV and sdlive

Listen to this shyt if you haven't and can stand the ads

The whole time I'm like did I watch the same show? I was stone cold sober...

No-one is happy unless they're complaining. Which is becoming more and more common, especially in this social media age, where everyone now has a voice? To steal a quote from Better Call Saul. "Slippin' Jimmy with a law degree is like a chimp with a machine gun!" Perfectly sums up the internet media personalities.

Like you mentioned the logical approach is no longer a logical one, as it seems, "I didn't like it, but I understand it", is now a lost concept.

Dolph's had the SAME fukking gimmick for the past 5 years, the only thing that's changed is his hair has gotten longer. Cesaro's entire gimmick is a half hearted imitation of James Bond that doesn't go beyond his entrance.

I pointed out last night how terrible Bliss was last night, I still think she was purposefully trying to ruin that match. I still think Nikki Bella is bad in the ring, but she's improved significantly compared to where she was 4 years ago. I think a lot of the problems with Nikki stem from how she works, she's too small to be a brawler and not skilled enough to be a technical wrestler.

The thing they do the most though that pisses me off is how they flip the fukk out every time AJ Styles loses. AJ has had the best rookie year in WWE since Brock and arguably since Kurt, but all I see and hear is people complaining about guys kicking out the Styles Clash or people saying he was buried because he lost once to Cena.

Seriously they can go fukk themselves for that. "They killed his finish" is such a nerdy compliant. Finishes arent sacred in wwe....they havent been in....ey never WERE outside of hogan and yoko really.

I've actually noticed this about Bryan and Vinnie. Bryan Alvarez is at the point that he's set in his way of he doesn't like anything new or crazy and Vinnie just hates everything of the current era. The fact that they just refuse to talk about anything TNA, refuse to talk about Smackdown and bytch about Raw and Lucha Underground episodes made me stop listening to them regularly and I only listen on rare occasions.

Funny thing is that Bryan and Vinnie are always :noah::ohlawd:when they review old NWA, AWA and any old school wrestling shows to the point where they act like its a major chore to talk about anything wrestling that current... although they do praise New Japan.
