The word "influential" when used in hip hop carries a positive connotation.

Even if I play along and assume Wayne had no positive impact on hip hop, you're still wrong that the word has to carry a positive connotation.

Slick Rick and Rakim are 100% irrelevant today. Nas is the rare exception of "golden era" rapper that still is relevant.

Wayne influenced how brehs, dress, dreads ( I get it, a lot of people had them before ), and punchlines ( easy digestible ). For a while, Weezy made rap fun brehs. He also made sing-y flow poppin' again. Cheers to our generation's superstar.

Lil Wayne absolutely HAS to be a top 10 rapper of all time. He has at least three classic albums and over 100 chartered records. Not to mention a fukking classic mixtape series.. before he went on his ridiculous run. He can freestyle better than most rappers (which displays his talent alone) and probably out rap most nikkas in general.. He also put out Drake and Nikki Minaj. I just don't think you can leave him off a top 10 all time list.

Wayne's the best rapper ever, in the sense that if you lined up every rapper ever in a room and just told them to rap right then and there, he'd be the nicest. He'd go the longest.
