Dude had a whole career before he crossed over. He's a legend in Asia already before Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle. His stuff is funny but most of the humor is made for the Cantonese audience. Lots of language-based misdirection entendres.

Legendary hk actor with a great resume. He’s basically like the hk jim carey in terms of comedic success except much much longer resume . He also uses the same crew like Adam Sandler . My favorite movie of his is god of cooking. I think I’ve seen it like 20 times since I was a kid.
