...the idea that if you take away our jobs, laws and common morals, every one would be;

  • Rapist
  • Murders
  • Thieves
  • Cannibals
when research and looking at domestic disasters show humans are way more willing to come together in those situations

The show would've better examing the human condition and how distracted we are with money, relationships, ambition, etc.

Not everyone depicted in TWD are those things tho, just the opposition.

It's usually presented at around 50% which I don't think is an exaggeration at all. I'd wager 25% of people are POS's WITH common laws and societal structure. Take that away and add the daily pending threat on their lives from zombies and their common man and it's easy to see how things could turn that quick.

I disagree to an extent even the 'bad guys' like the Mayor and Neegan had their sense of law and logic. I mean you anarchists and free roamers but they never lasted long.

:yeshrug:Haven't watched the show. Heard it sucked compared to the telltale games
The games tell grear stories, but, even they got to a point of my problems with the show

Clementine is just such a dope character

Of course I don't think it would be an oasis

But, I stopped watching because it seems like they kept repeating the cycle of running, staying, be invaded and move on. All the while you ran into the stereotypical post apocalyptic villains.

How about placing this show right as society is back to TV working and news networks being up, but, infrastructure is fukked up, there are no cars, international trade is done, etc.

People still have tech, but, you can't be on IG flexing anymore--WE'RE ALL POOR.

I'm issue is the writing, less the settings and characters.

The show--no shots--seemed to be aimed at sheltered conservative old people after a while, with their choice of conflict and villians

Neegan was still a crazy nilihist muhpucka

Nihilism made this show completely unwatchable

And the only Time I heard ppl discuss it after I stopped watching was when they killed a main character

The 'Humans Are Worst Than The Zombies' thing gets tired

Completely disagree. Humans are by nature tribalistic. We are very good at creating groups and making enemies of people outside our groups.

It’s just how we are wired. We probably wouldn’t be here if our homosapien ancestors were not so good at killing off other Porto humans like neanderthals who we competed against for resources.

Competition among groups for resources is one of the key reasons humans started in Africa but spread throughout the world.

Not saying that is how we should act, but if a zombie apocalypse ended civilization tomorrow, I would be more concerned about other humans than the zombies.

That's why Heath Ledger's Joker was so great. What he said about humanity and "civilized" people was true when survival is at stake.

“‎"Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I'm an agent of chaos...”

“Their morals, their code; it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. You'll see- I'll show you. When the chips are down these, uh, civilized people? They'll eat each other. See I'm not a monster, I'm just ahead of the curve.”

yeah in the begining

but after a while of no progress it will turn into exactly what ur complaining about

look at all the hoods nationwide for a comparison on a much more modern scale, to alot of u suburban cacs and c00ns people living in the hood is almost Walking Dead like..... and thats just poverty making ppl behave like that....murdering, clicking up n gangs, dealing etc.

Chicago hoods have everyone shook nationwide to live there

Now add zombies to the mix, no electricity, no food, no resources and u think everyone is gonna be working together peacefully?

sh1t will turn into a PUBG/Fortnite/H1Z1 battle royale with the quickness

u n1kkas live like greedy capitalist every day and think that once sh1t hits the fan you'll get on ur socialist tip

nope, folks are greedy/only out for self and when resources are low they'll bust they gun.

Saying a zombie apocalypse is a domestic disaster is....like saying a zombie apocalypse is a domestic disaster.

It's a extinction level event.

The only thing comparable to a zombie apocalypse is war and famine. How's the world treating Yemen right now? What was the reaction to the Syrian refugee crisis?

We don't even like undocumented immigrants during a time of economic prosperity.
