People tend to compare him to GOATKU but he's actually more like Vegeta. Especially in the DCAU. He has this crabs in a barrel mentality when it comes to other Kryptonians or Kryptonian like beings. I just got finished watching the episode "blast from the past" on HBO max and the way Supes handled Mala was wrong.


Mala was sentenced to the Phantom Zone for twenty years before Krypton blew up. She served her time plus extra. Superman releases her, teaches her how to use her powers, takes her crime fighting with him and then contemplates sending her back to the Phantom Zone AFTER she declared she will submit to his philosophy of peace and justice? She did nothing wrong. Even when she overheard Superman talking behind her back about sending her to the Phantom Zone she submitted to him and decided to do a press confrontation with Lois Lane who was being shady for no reason. Mala didn't crash out and go rogue until everyone started trippin for no reason.

His main claim is he is being the prince of the most powerful race in existence, and he really means that. His actions have shown it over and over again.

Also, Vegeta is willing to kill. Superman is not. Even when the threat is an existential threat to existence itself, Superman will seek a way to stop it without the killing blow. So in that regard, Goku and Superman are more alike. Still, even Goku will kill if it is the only way to stop something catastropic from happening.

No, that is not crabs in a barrel. Crabs don't pull you up, they pull you down when you are almost out. When you are working to be in a better condition then the rest of them. No, Vegeta is a Sayian supremacist. He also has no problem recognizing that Goku is his superior in combat. He has stated it many times. That is not a crab in the barrel mentality, that is an overwhelming pride in his race mentality.

You can't be pro Saiyan while killing or attempting to kill every Saiyan that's not you. There were only 4 Saiyans left and Vegeta killed one when he just could have given him a senzu bean or put him in a healing chamber.
