i'm talkin' bout remixes where they switch the beat up. that's a REAL remix
if the beat is too different it gets counted as a separate song for radio spins

why cannibalize the numbers off your original for the remix when you can count them together

i'm just askin' WHY did makin' a remix have to be thrown in the bushes. i miss the days when the remix was usually better than the original

the creativity involved in hip hop has gone to shyt!

Ehhh, never really liked remixes that were the same lyrics but different beat (like California Love Remix). I didn't notice those remixes went away. Good observation.

Posse cuts (like Made U Look Remix) are where it's at though. :ahh:

a different remix won't get you any higher in the charts that's why

Remixes used to be made to help sell maxi singles, singles like that don't really exist anymore so there's no need for them. Those Death Row ones were goat and def worth the money.

In EDM and pop they still release remixes constantly though. My wife does choreography and she's always getting some remix to a pop song for her dancers.
