This season Jack's past finally caught up with him. The senate launched an investigation into allegations of him torturing terrorists and he's no longer a government agent but he winds up getting coopted into a black ops group run by former friends of his because the US government has people who are actively working against Madam President.

The president finally meets Jack after only hearing bad things about him and he tells her that she can trust him to recover her husband who was kidnapped by terrorists.

Madame President: "How am I supposed to know where your loyalties lie? :why: "

Jack: with all due respect Madame president, ask around. :wow:

That was the most powerful moment of this season to me. Folks may not like his methods, folks may not like his attitude but anybody who's anybody would vouch for Jack Bauer being a patriot's patriot. :wow:

This series really restored the feeling after 9/11. :wow:

This got me rollin lmao

S2e1 :banderas:

But like I was saying before, this ain't nothing. An assassin was holding probably the best approximation to a best friend that Jack has ever had in his life hostage and Jack had a gun on her.

Her: "can you look me in the eye while I kill him?"

Jack without hesitation: "Yes :demonic: "

Jack Bauer has beaten the hell out of more of his fellow federal agents than any terrorist or bad guy ever did. He has killed innocents or let them get killed as collateral damage in order to achieve his mission. He tortures people. Threatens to kill children. Has attacked presidents.

And thats literally just in one day. :banderas:
