I ain’t heard of deadwood ima have to look it up
you're welcome my friend, and i mean that.

when you find yourself tempted to rewind very early and very often because of the dialogue don't feel bad. I turned every hour episode into damn near a marathon because I was constantly rewinding to listen to some shyt that was said. i've probably said it 3 times in this thread already, but the writers on that show should have won whatever awards they were eligible for at the time. it's the best written show i've seen, and that includes the sopranos and the wire. now that i'm thinking about it i'm about to get on a marathon and rewatch it lol

the reason most people either sleep on it or don't know about it is because it was on during that run with the sopranos, the wire, rome, entourage, and whatever else hbo had on at the time, but i remember it was a monster lineup. but forreal, watch it. and don't let any of what you may perceive as slowness at the beginning turn you off. that show is like that forreal. and it's based on a true story. later when you're introduced to george hearst as a gold speculator you need to understand that alot of the media we've consumed all our lives comes from his empire. just google george hearst.

If you can tolerate the
full
stuff, Six Feet Under is another good HBO show.

The FBI agent working in Baltimore told Lester her fukked up because he was sending info to the “mole” in San Diego. But he also told Lester the Greek was an asset. Counter terrorism.

The Greek was feeding him info. For example the drug bust in the container. That’s why they didn’t do anything about it.
fukking Landsman didn’t connect ziggy for the murder and open case on Frank :snoop:. Season 2 was good police work.

S2 can't be overlooked. Prob the most politically current season of modern television. The slow death of manufacturing, the disappearance of industry-driven towns/cities, unions being phased out, etc.

shyt i did a whole dissertation- type paper on the towers falling and how its an example of post-modernism in its gaze of what that meant to to those characters.

The Wire the goat show even in its flaws, it has way to Many layers and truth and pain to be anything but.

There is no evidence suggesting the Greek was an informant. You can't call him an informant cuz they only showed the info going in one direction. He had a mole in the agency. The moles info is how Sobotka got his neck sawed into. FBI aint letting informants murder people, let alone give them info to cause said murder.
Yeah, I was confused wtf dude was talking about lol

I finished rewatching about a week ago. Season 2 is still fascinating to me because of the union storyline. The Sobotka family were the only white characters to take major Ls throughout the series

Stringer's death was :ahh: for two reasons. One for being an overall fukk boy. Second is that McNulty's selfish ass didn't get a chance to put the cuffs on him.
