I did a random search for the book on Instagram just out of curiosity and the vast majority of the people showcasing and praising the book were women, particularly white women and black women coming up second. I only saw one breh before I got tired of scrolling.
Even on YouTube I only saw one breh with the rest being white folks and black women talking about The Rage of Dragons.
I like comics but that's where I mostly only come across black voices in "nerd" spaces.

You never hear or pay attention to the ones minding their own business or married to other black people (an overwhelming majority).
