No need to give up. Now is the best time to own an XB1. There's plenty of great games out for it and backwards compatibility should scratch any throw back feelings you might have from time to time. Tomb raider is right around the corner too. Now would be the worst time to give up on it honestly.

if backwards compatibility is the main reason for keeping a next gen system, you lost already. dude can easily sell the x1 and get a 360 for cheap instead if he wanna play old agmes.
