I've never heard this much "referee/cheating" talk regarding the NFL (Chiefs)

People have fukking amneisia. Pats was wayyy worse in the officiating department, the difference is, that was the 2000s and there werent as many outlets for crybabies to be heard, Chiefs are just the soical media-era Patriots. But it really stems from the fact that people simply hate success.
People also have selective memory, people only remember bad calls that went the winners way. Like why would anyone remember a missed holding call for a team that lost.

these conspiracy theory guys are not making YouTube clips showing how an 8-8 team got some calls in 2016

I bet on the Chiefs at least 4 times this year and won each bet. I had the Chiefs/Eagles 2-pick parlay last night too, won that. I'm being objective. The Chiefs have won me money but I'm betting on them in part because I expect things to go their way :manny:

I think that's the part I still don't understand about fans that think it's going to be unfair one way, why wouldn't you just bet and make money since it's rigged. How can I believe your conspiracies if you don't have faith to commit to them

Most teams who are era dominant receive questionable and favorable calls. Nothing new, just more social media and media outlets to give the story legs.

I've always wanted to be that team, I realized pulling for non glamour teams was a mistake

It would've been physically impossible to hear this many opinions before the social media era. I'm sure plenty of people got it. The Lakers against the Kings in 02 would've gotten 100x the absolute peak of the Chiefs's dissension.
Also people affect other people and you get herd behavior.

A lot of it is fatigue for many not wanting the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl again. And, when you are one of the best teams in the league that is playing more games than almost any team (playoffs included), and you are often in primetime, there will be a lot more focus on that team.

If you are talking specifically this year, I don't know if we've seen a top tier team get as many "breaks" as they have, but good teams make other teams pay when they get those chances.

Anyone who says the Worthy catch was not a catch just flat out does not understand the rules and is objectively wrong. It was clearly a catch. Now, the third down that was marked short was rough and then the stop on 4th down was VERY close. You almost had to go with the call on the field there.
