Those are mole crabs

Not sure why they're nicknamed after fleas

They are too large

We call them sand crabs and there used to be a rack of them at the beach when I was younger but they're not as common anymore.

I won't pick up land bugs but I have no problem handling these. They're cute and the tickle your hand when the crawl around
