And i never will. two overrated exercises IMO and you can see the same results doing simple exercises like pull ups and dips at least for your upper body

im nothing special but im definitely in shape and got there with no squats or deadlifts and i know for a fact im not lacking because im missing out on those two exercises. alot of people act like if you dont do them you dont know what your doing....i say thats a lie and everyone responds to things differently

not having to worry about those two pain in the ass lifts in my routine really has opened up time for other exercises

you may change your mind once you hit those mid 30s and your knees say

squats and DLs keep you from having strength imbalances and promote healthy knees/lower back

the myth is that you need to squat more than double your weight etc, i think everyone who lifts should atleast attain the 1.5x bodyweight squat and 2x bodyweight deadlift

it may be a tiring difficult exercise but they are important for a reason

Nothing wrong with that stance, but...

...what do those two exercises have to do with legs?

they have nothing to do with legs but most people ive talked to use deadlifts and squats for back and core and say legs is an added bonus

to me i barely even need to do legs. i used to play hockey so my legs are developed and i work construction and walk really fast basically at all times during the day so my legs get all the exercise they need

its actually been shown that pullups/chinups done properly activate your abdominals the most outside of all other compound movements :whoo:

even still, you should atleast be able to do those percentages of your body weight on both lifts

You can get the same results from kettlebells and bodyweight exercises like pushups, pullups and squats. fukk deadlifts and all that shyt. I've seen so many people get injured from that shyt.
