Stocking cap works better for waves than a du-rag imo.
Your barber can help with it too. I heard him say he can cut for wave length or something like that.
Then basically combing your hair non-stop and using whatever hair product you like.
back in the day i used that pinks stuff but i don't know whats popular right now.
