People elect corrupt or corruptable leaders, don't hold them accountable, while also removing the threat of revolution.

But speaking specifically on America, we've allowed the formation of a multi-generational ruling class.

Truth is bad actor will always win. Bad actor exploits, he's never lazy. Good people take breaks. They get one win and stop fighting. The only way to beat corruption is to literally never stop targeting it.

Its not defense of the wealthy, but rather a rejection of the idea that there is a set pie, and my slice is small because there slice is large.

Which is why Marxist-Socialist theory is the dissolution of the state and the ablution of class structure all together. Which Soviet Russia was implementing as the Dictatorship of the Proletariat in the Soviet system before the NEP and reforms killed the nacent Soviet movement by allowing the ablution of the capital structure to remain. The base was there but the superstructure never materialized under Lenin (due in no small part to the immediate and massively violent insurgency that the west funded and attempted to create the warlords of post-Qing China). Statism and socialism are incompatible with one another.

I understand we've literally spent the last 100 years demonizing any alternative systems to Capitalism, but the shift from Feudalism to Capitalism was just as rocky and violent and full of failures and false starts. If the system is not equitable, not sustainable, and not commensurate to the betterment of all, then I just don't see why we stick with it other than that fear of the unknown variable and the Jordan Peterson level of "humans actually crave hierarchy" level gibberish.

You're right, let us all bow before our benevolent genetic betters, or better yet, move back to the divine mandate.

Humans have made progress for generations in abolishing the structures of societal hierarchy. No, we are not a naturally hierarchic species, and even if we are, if the untold suffering that occurs under a stratified societal hierarchical system isn't enough to convince you that it's something that shouldn't exist for any reason other than the people that are already on top of the system as constructed want it to continue to exist then I don't know what else to tell you.

Either society moves forward or we all cook to death in two decades and all this is meaningless, in which case why aren't you dancing with all the nihilistic alt-right psychopaths who have totally embraced the coming oblivion as an inevitability and take solace in knowing that they'll rule the ashes and die last.
