nikka he was cooped up before parole in the 1st season. Hell everybody knew the name but not the face. Marlo was outside in the park everyday and riding around with Chris. Thats my point. Avon was smart being cooped up. He was the best kingpin easily of the two but my argument is that Marlo's ending was bullshyt because he would definitely be talked about as a legend easily.

You can easily say the same about Avon when it comes to Weebay, Stinkum, Bird, etc. Avon was always cooped up inside. Marlo was out in public and in the park holding court daily. Mfers in the streets know who the bosses are. Plus Avon got shot in that beef. Marlo didnt get a scratch on him. People gonna think about that if this was real life.

That was then. Avon had been running shyt for years when the show started, he was legit kingpin status. Marlo only had a 1 year and half/2 year run and he was done

And you gotta remember Omar spent the last few weeks shytting on Marlo name and rep in the streets

Avon and Marlo were on different levels. It took 2 wiretaps by Major Crimes and Stringer turning into a stool pigeon to get Avon. He had the drop on Marlo when the stash house got raided

Plus Avon left a legacy of somewhat good in the streets by him funding Cutty's gym
