I think the "and your daddy too" is not to be taken literal so..Whitlock probably.

A lot of media cats did a full 180 on A.I. once he retired. Same reporters that hated him, now love him...But Whitlock, being Whitlock, has always hated A.I. (yesterday, today, and tomorrow).
fukk him and his pappy then :pacspit:

And didn't Bomani come up under his wing? That fat c00n's a sheisty b*stard.

He did same with Michael and Jemele back when they all wrote for Page 2 it all went down when Greg Howard ran a piece for Deadspin on how c00nLock was ruining The Undefeated and Bomani stayed out of it and c00nLock got in his feelings because he stayed out of it.

From that moment on anyone especially anyone young and black from ESPN not named Sage Steele c00nLock all of a sudden had a problem with. That's how he got the job at FS1. And not only that he also started to attack Coates in hit pieces too. Don't forget he was the biggest Kaep dikk rider at one point too.

Yeah I remember the Deadspin article...forgot about Bomani's part in it though.

Interesting theory in the comments, the daddy isn’t his actual father but Clay Travis.

The Travis/shytlock possible subliminal makes sense...

About the '09 article, lets say this. We know shytlock has a shtick with attacking black athletes, and he's corny for that. Corny for saying Iverson never wanted to win and basically making Iverson a piccanniny in his column---->that shyt was wack and flat out wrong...

However he isn't wrong for calling out Iverson on not wanting to win bad enough. And some people on here may not remember or maybe didn't follow the sport in AI's twilight but this isn't an attack, its a reality many people touched on back then based on his attitudes and behaviors as he was journeymanning his way out The League...

Also, he isn't wrong for calling out that many people, especially black fans, glorified AI and minimized his shortcomings on the floor in favor of his cultural pull. We were doing it in real time with him, and here over a decade after his retirement we still do it with him...

Some standard Fatlock clown shyt in there but this is nowhere near as bad as I expected, and nowhere near as bad as some of the things he's said about Kaepernick, LeBron, other black athletes and black athletes in general. He's earned his reputation but this isn’t bad on the c00nlock scale of "shytposting", there's truths in here that people don't wanna hear because its Allen Iverson, regardless of who the messenger is...

..............

I'm from Virginia, trust me when I say I don't need anyone to explain AI's significance with us to me. Him or Vick, them dudes are from the same city and are living legends mostly for who they were outside of their chosen sports, and as much as everyone else loves them, Virginians love these dudes unconditionally. Trust me on this one, word to @Brocka @surf @Mephistopheles and other 7-5 heads, if you got to The News or Hampton these dudes are like gods there and we all know every athlete doesn't get love in they hometowns like that, yall should see the way people out there feel about them...

There were people in real time, and possibly still today, who took shots at Iverson not based on his game, and that was wack. It aint all or nothing though, you can be a fan of someone and still critique their flaws. Iverson's greatness as a basketball player is overrated because of his cultural gravity for us as a people. He was a really, really good player. Heart of a giant, but was inefficient, could be turnover prone way too often, had a selfish personality on court despite being a good passer, was not a great example as a leader, was an average defender on his best day (some people blame this on size but CP3 is small and a significantly greater defender, Chauncey wasn't much bigger and a significantly greater defender, etc), and struggled to win playoff games in the weakest conference of modern basketball, which truly underscores what he lacked, among other things...

We can critique these things and still appreciate his heart and his trailblazing as a cultural icon for black athletes, i hate when nikkas on here act like they can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Everything aint all or nothing...

His All The Smoke interview was dope, I'll always appreciate dude in certain respects but his basketball career is wild overblown...
