So she must have easily cleared >$40k just in merch alone for that one show
Idk if I believe Meltzer that she'd accept less than that as a yearly salary to join NXT.
Sidenote: Io selling her shyt independently meant that literally the only way to get your hands on any of her merch was to attend a Stardom show in person and wait in line. There are a TON of international stans thirsting to buy an Io Shirai t-shirt. Watch WWE fukk that up by releasing some ugly bullshyt and/or one of those damn oil painting t-shirts they keep spamming.

I'm sure a lot of people have already seen this one. As far as I'm aware, this is her only televised match outside of Japan and Mexico so far.
To me, this is one of the things that puts her ahead of some of the other Joshi GOATs. How many of them would be able to go to America, work a completely new gimmick, perform virtually none of their signature moves, brawl with Pentagon Jr, and have it be this dope and get over this much with a live audience who had no idea who she was?
I'm not sure if Manami Toyota pulls this off brehs
