Album was :trash:
That's when he "adopted" that trash ass flow. Beats were like watching paint dry.
Even the songs everyone supposedly loves like 10 Bands and Know Yourself are meh to me. Leaves me like :patrice:thinking what am I missing here?
The first two songs are nice. The NY song was definitely nice. 2 mic album.

I disagree. That album is heavily flawed.
From Legend to Star67 that album was flawless, but PND comes in and ruins not 1 but 2 beats I think Drake would've shined on by himself.

Company could've done without travis scott and his wolves.

Now because of the reference tracks from PND and QM that album would be forever tainted because without QM there would be no energy, know yourself, 10 bands, no tellin. Those are the ones he got credit for but just like he didn't get credit for RICO there could be more songs he didn't get credit for.

Which I do think the beginning of the cd was so good and like you I think Drake when he drake is puffing his chest out talking shyt and being reckless it makes for enjoyable music which is why Legend to Star67 is so good

But I think NWTS was the most complete Drake cd.
QM didn't get credit on RICO because Meek's people wrote the credits. They were obviously not aware. QM received credits fo all his contributions on IYRTITL.

Agreed, but that's mostly a testament to Q. Miller's song writing ability & the beats, cuz in terms of straight bars & flows Drizzy Vanilli aka Pissy Elliott aka Kike Moist Dee was lazy as fukk on a lot of tracks

Still, it's the only album from Kike & The Ghostwriting Gang aka Queen Aubrey & Her Woes of The Writers Block Roundtable aka Simp Doggy Dogg that I can play thru w/o skipping around like Kirby Graham at a hopscotch convention

Also, plz note that it's only close 2 a classic w/in the context of Piss Stain Papi aka Ludapiss aka Pisstikal's catalog, cuz the album itself is 4/5 @ best which is a quite a ways from classic status

Classic? Nah but definitely his best album. He perfected his sound on that joint.

Drake's best songs imo are "10 Bands" and "Know Yourself". It's the only time he's approached superb confidence.

Which is ironic considering the QM exposal.
