That's cause he has no image, no story, he's not a Tyler or a Kanye, he's just a regular dude who can rap, so rappers like him and Logic just end up rapping about the same shyt all the time. Their fake struggle, how underrated they are, etc...

I always thought his story was moving to NYC to go to college, tryna get a deal, yada yada. That shii resonates with me (or should/can resonate with any other dude in school). I moved across the state to ATL and didnt know anyone up here, from a very small town also, i got my own goals:ehh: . Im not tryna get a deal but i can relate to that entire journey.

Then he talks about whatever else he went through. Im curious to hear who yall would put over J. Cole

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Supporting this off the strength that while alot of these rap nikkas be tweeting and crying about Robin Williams, Joan Rivers, Cole was out there in Ferguson and dropped a tribute to Mike Brown. He also gets my support that he's a talented NC breh doing his thing.
exactly...after I saw that I vowed I would support his next project with my money...dude was out there on the frontlines...

Blu kalled - homie wants his swag baak :lolbron:

on the real tho .. this just seems like a bad biz move only coz cole really moved up a lvl AFTER THE LAST ALBUM .. GRAMMY .. A SMASH HIT ..good sales numbers:stopitslime:

seems backwards .. he has a hardcore following and fan base but this won't help advance that or his career .. :yeshrug:

bad mgmt ... and obviously proves once again cole closer to Nas from a artist standpoint then jay

It's maintenance ...afterall if you never fully blow or crossover... you can't fall off drastically...

You can coast on your laurels/core fan base and blow up later or not....

Who knows? Let's just wiat until the album drops
