This dude gotta step it up.
Big Sean raps so much better than J. Cole it's not even funny at this point.
Critics don't make my opinion. I do. Y'all stay asking for mainstream acceptance instead of appreciating the real trendsetters in music that get no love out here.
The songs where he is only rapping on, are great. Upbeat good flow substantial lyrics. But the shyt where he is singing on, needs to go. He's like a fake Andre 3000
my problem is, the new tribe called quest album that came out does this vibe infinitely better. With way better lyrics, way better production, way less pretentiousness and ultimately way more replayability.
Second half is definitely better than the first half.
...Back to the original

Insert Kendrick in here and you'll understand.
The machine is pushing these dudes.
Views was a good album though.![]()
Honestly, I like the IDEA of "folded clothes"...and I wish more rap was like that considering how other genres do the same thing
But the way HE does it is so wack.
the irony![]()
ya'll need your asses kicked for say this shyt.
I sweatergawd ya'll boys are trolling when ya'll say this.
Kendrick don't even have the best project in the years his albums came out.
do you have any opinions of your own?
Ya'll stay riding the nuts of reviewers...
Streets say otherwise.
Kendrick is lucky to have Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington and Terrance Martin crafting his albums.
Anderson Paak is more talented than Kendrick...AND I'm not even talking about playing instruments.
Stop playing right now.
dude just throws cliches in the pot without any understanding.
I mean T.I.'s "Us or Else" was more organic from an activist stand-point with far more depth and introspection. I mean for fukks sake...Ross and Gucci do this shyt better than a "woke" dude like Cole does.
Cole just literally reads headlines with no true artistic interpretation...and yet he gets all the accolades and praise for it.
Its infuriating for fans like me of music who want to see actual talent get their recognition.
No. I'm saying the ATCQ album is way better than this.
coffee shops?
I mean lets be honest...colleges love having these type of artists do "artist panels" to talk about the themes of this shyt
Watch some Northeastern universities have classes on this wack nikka![]()
its a great idea and I could see superior artists doing more with that concept.
But again, Cole takes great concepts and utterly shyts the bed on it.
so his best album is a 7/10 project?![]()
dudes won't even accept it.
Take the L homie
![]()
yeah...cause its real music
ATCQ shyts all over this try-hard bullshyt
again...I love the concept...but again, he did not deliver.
I want rappers doing the Phonte regular-life raps. I love that.
But if you don't do it well, you look like an idiot.
making sure ya'll see this ether![]()
you shouldn't be typing on your keyboard like that...your parents will hear you in your room![]()
Its like he's trying to save money on features.
and agin...he should stay far, far away from producing his own stuff.
its just not worth it at this point.
Waiting for Sean-Don to save the day![]()

Anonymous asked: Why is JCole mediocre?
Well to provide a little context - I wrote that subtweet in response to a mess of folks on my or anything. Dude can rap okay as far as rapping humans go. If he were in a cipher on a corner or in a dorm room or at an open mic or whatever he’d surely evoke the “oh cool, rapping” response that such activities exist to evoke. That old rap rap raprap /
I don’t.
