People taking that facebook post about the "concept" too seriously.

The album is basically him giving his own story and comparing/contrasting that story with other nikkas from a similar background. That's it.

He's writing their(and his) story down for "our eyes only" cause we are the only ones that can understand.

What exactly is it any different from what I just said? And how is that not considered a "concept"? What you just said is EXACTLY what everybody else is saying.

Cole should be proud. He's really come into his own with these last two releases. He seems very free artistically and has the success and numbers to go along with it. I can't hate on that.

I love J Cole's ability and I really look forward to listening to anything he puts out. But I fukking hate when you see nerdy shyt like this - putting arbitrary stats up to force-feed things to be factual. That video is making such an idiotic argument. The album is a masterpiece to me. Nothing close to a wack song on it. The last song gave me the chills. Theres nothing like that feeling you get the first time you hear a classic album
