They did not put out physical copy's until the week after no tho right?
J. Cole has always been more popular than Kendrick. His fanbase is more loyal. A lot of the sales of K. Dot's last album was due to the whole west coast savior angle. He has diehard fans, but the general public always liked Cole better. Cole's fanbase began when cats like me were in college and it got passed down to our younger siblings, cousins, etc. Cole's fanbase will be there because they grew up with him and are close to his age. The stuff he talks about reflects them. And then he still throws in stuff for the younger crowd.I'm not saying which one is the greater MC... but if we are speaking about top of the mainstream rap game... J. Cole been the top earner over Kendrick, both in tours and album sales. It's just J. Cole is mad reclusive and avoid all media whereas Kendrick is the media darling and seen EVERYWHERE which showcase a false projection. When you think about, TPAB barely hit platinum and had it not been for the RIAA changing of the rules, it still wouldn't of been a platinum album. But J. Cole quietly went DOUBLE just off the strength of word of mouth and constant touring.
And about to do it again....
Roc Nation is now distributed through Universal where Cole was being distributed through Columbia when he was originally with Roc Nation. Something probably got negotiated with the new switch based on how successful Cole has been. Probably gave dude back some of his masters or something. Rihanna has the the whole Westbury Road/Roc Nation shyt now too.I noticed on the pre purchase that Cole was no longer on just Roc Nation. Now "Dreamville under Exclusive License to Rocnation". And now the track list also says interscope. Looks like Ib and Cole worked out what was going on with the their contract.
Lowkey cole was under a bad 360 contract apparently(50/50 split of everything). And his dreamville contract with interscope made sure all his artist where not under 360 deals. Hence interscope not promoting them.

The tracks are prolly gonna be on there as bonus tracks on a deluxe version. If they were on there you'd only have 8 new tracks instead of 10So this nikka basically dissed yeezy while he was in a stray jacket to not even use the songs for his album? The rap game weird bro
I meant now. that was one of my famous typos.Who distributes Rocnation now? Is like a free agent thing now, hence Interscope for Cole?
