I hope not. It's not good enough to be an album and it's short. He should just keep this as a mixtape. This wasn't what he had planned for releasing in feb. I can tell. Pretty sure he has better songs for later on. Maybe for the next one. I know he has more videos.

I take some of that back. I knew for sure some of it wasn't about his wife bc it didn't match up. They say the whole thing is about his friend, but idk. How could he know all of that about someone else, especially the guys dating life.

First of all men tell each other everything especially if they are boys, every win is documented. Half the losses might be, but I got at least two homeboys I could pen a biography about damn near.

Secondly, Deja Vu seems like a clear radio friendly single. So I wouldn't be surprised if that one isn't even part of the story that album is trying to tell, he probably tossed it in there so he can have a commercial record on there

Smh, I feel like understanding the message and theme is so more important for albums like these that you have to get it or else what's the point

This shyt trash and boring. The production is uninspired. I've been listening to Cole since the beginning, him and Kendrick have been the "conscious" rappers of my 20's which are about to come to an end and they have both been disappointments. Cole has not grown in that time period, his introspective tracks are lackluster and I feel like folks give him credit simply for the subject matter and then rant and rave about how deep he is.

My relationship with Kendrick's and Cole's music is without a doubt attached to my relationship with Phonte's LB music, I guess me being exposed to Phonte is a gift and a curse because they have failed to surpass him lyrically, musically, and conceptually. This despite the fact that they have been given opportunities by record labels that Phonte never got.

why is she's mine pt 1 after ville mentality? It basically sounds like two interludes back to back

The entire is a story..... the narrator is telling his daughter about his life, how he came up, how he met her mother and so forth.... Ville Mentality is when after him meeting his future wife, he became woke in how he's living. If you listen to his daughter on that song, it was after he was killed and how she's upset that her father is no longer here.
